(The Heart-touching Story of a Mother and Son)

In a poor household lived a mother and her son. The mother was sick but still went to work every day to earn just two handfuls of rice. One day, there was no food at home. The mother said, “I will go to work today too.” But the son replied, “Mother, please stay home today. I will make some arrangements.”

The boy then prayed to God, “Dear God, please give me some work today so I can bring food and medicine for my mother.”

While walking on the road, he met an old man. The old man said, “Child, why don’t you sell flowers near the temple? You’ll earn some money.” The boy was happy. He went to the temple, bought some flowers, made garlands, and sold them to the devotees. He earned enough money and bought food and medicine.

When he returned home, his mother asked in surprise, “Where did you get the money from?”

The boy told her everything. The mother smiled and said, “That old man must have been God Himself. Seeing your faith and love, He came to help you.”

From that day, the mother and son began to share the glory of God. Slowly, their life changed for the better.

God always helps those who have a pure heart and true intentions.

ଏକ ଗରିବ ଘରେ ମା' ଓ ପୁଅ ରହୁଥିଲେ। ମା'ଙ୍କ ଦେହ ଅସୁସ୍ଥ ଥିଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ତଥାପି ସେ ପ୍ରତିଦିନ କାମକୁ ଯାଉଥିଲେ ଜଣେ ଦିନ ଦୁଇମୁଠା ଚାଉଳ ରୋଜଗାର ପାଇଁ। ଏକ ଦିନ ଘରେ ଖାଇବାକୁ କିଛି ଥିଲାନି। ମା କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଆଜି କାମକୁ ଯିବି।” କିନ୍ତୁ ପୁଅ କହିଲା, “ମା, ଆଜି ତୁମେ ବାହାରକୁ ଯାଅନାହିଁ, ମୁଁ କିଛି ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କରିଦେବି।”

ପୁଅ ଭଗବାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲା, “ହେ ଭଗବାନ, ଆଜି ମତେ ଏମିତି କିଛି କାମ ଦିଅ, ଯାହାରେ ମୁଁ ମୋର ମା' ପାଇଁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଓ ଔଷଧ ଆଣିପାରିବି।”

ଏଥିରେ ବାଟରେ ଜଣେ ବୃଦ୍ଧ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଦେଖା ହେଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, “ପିଲା, ତୁମେ ମନ୍ଦିର ର ଫୁଲ ବିକିବ, ଟଙ୍କା ମିଳିବ।” ପୁଅ ଖୁସି ହେଇ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଗଲା, ଫୁଲ କିଣି ମାଳା ବାନ୍ଧି ଭକ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ବିକିଲା। ବହୁ ଟଙ୍କା ମିଳିଲା। ସେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଓ ଔଷଧ କିଣି ଘରକୁ ଫେରିଲା।

ମା ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ପଚାରିଲେ, “ତୁ ଏତିକି ପଇସା କେଉଁଠୁ ଆଣିଲୁ?”

ପୁଅ ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଦେଲା। ମା ହସି କହିଲେ, “ସେ ବୃଦ୍ଧ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଭଗବାନ ଥିଲେ। ତୁମ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଏବଂ ଭଲ ମନ ଦେଖି ସେ ତୁମକୁ ସହଯୋଗ କଲେ।”

ସେହି ଦିନଠାରୁ ମା' ଓ ପୁଅ ଭଗବାନଙ୍କର ମହିମା ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ। ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଜୀବନ ଭଲ ହେଇଗଲା।

ଯିଏ ସତ କାମନା ଓ ଭଲ ହୃଦୟ ଧାରଣ କରେ, ଭଗବାନ ସେଥିରେ ସହଯୋଗ କରନ୍ତି।
