ଶ୍ରୀକୃଷ୍ଣ ଜନ୍ମାଷ୍ଟମୀ ହେଉଛି ଭାରତୀୟ ସଂସ୍କୃତିର ଏକ ପବିତ୍ର ଓ ଆନନ୍ଦମୟ ପର୍ବ। ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ଭାଦ୍ରବ ମାସର କୃଷ୍ଣପକ୍ଷ ଅଷ୍ଟମୀ ତିଥିରେ, ଦେବକୀ ଓ ବସୁଦେବଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ଭାବେ ଭଗବାନ ଶ୍ରୀକୃଷ୍ଣଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ଉତ୍ସବ ପାଳିତ ହୋଇଥାଏ।

ଭକ୍ତମାନେ ଏହି ଦିନରେ ଉପବାସ, ଭଜନ-କୀର୍ତନ, ମନ୍ଦିର ସଜାଣା ଓ ମଧ୍ୟରାତ୍ରିରେ ଜନ୍ମୋତ୍ସବ କରିଥାନ୍ତି।

English:

Shree Krishna Janmashtami is a sacred and joyful festival of Indian culture. It is celebrated every year on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Bhadra, marking the birth of Lord Krishna to Devaki and Vasudeva.

On this day, devotees observe fasting, sing devotional songs, decorate temples, and celebrate the birth of Krishna at midnight.
