Never Suppress a Child’s Happiness – A Moral Story

ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତୁ ନାହିଁ ଛୁଆଁଙ୍କ ଖୁସି – ଏକ ନୀତିଗଳ୍

One day, two friends named Hari and Rabi were going to school.

ଏକ ଦିନ ଦୁଇଜଣ ସାଙ୍ଗ ହରି ଏବଂ ରବି ସ୍କୁଲ୍‌କୁ ଯାଉଥିଲେ।

On the way, they suddenly saw an elephant. Hari excitedly said,

“Rabi, look! An elephant is coming!”

ରାସ୍ତାରେ ହଠାତ୍‌ ସେମାନେ ଏକ ହାତୀକୁ ଦେଖିଲେ। ହରି ଉତ୍ସାହରେ କହିଲା,

"ରବି, ଦେଖ! ହାତୀ ଆସୁଛି!"

Rabi replied, “Let’s take a ride on the elephant!”

ରବି କହିଲା, "ଚାଲ୍, ହାତୀ ଉପରେ ଚଢ଼ିବା!"

They went to the mahut and asked for a ride. The mahut said,

“You have to pay money to ride the elephant.”

ସେମାନେ ମାହୁତଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଗଲେ। ମାହୁତ କହିଲେ,

"ହାତୀ ଉପରେ ଚଢିବାକୁ ଟଙ୍କା ଦେବାକୁ ପଡିବ।"

The boys replied, “We don’t have any money.”

ପିଲାମାନେ କହିଲେ, "ଆମ ପାଖରେ ଟଙ୍କା ନାହିଁ।"

The mahut said, “Then go home and bring the money.”

ମାହୁତ କହିଲେ, "ତେବେ ଘରକୁ ଯାଅ ଓ ଟଙ୍କା ନେଇ ଆସ।"

So, instead of going to school, they went home and said to their mother:

“Mom, please give us some money. We want to ride the elephant!”

ତେଣୁ ସେମାନେ ସ୍କୁଲ୍‌କୁ ନଯାଇ ସିଧା ଘରକୁ ଫେରି ମାଆଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,

"ମା, ଆମକୁ ଟଙ୍କା ଦିଅ। ଆମେ ହାତୀ ଉପରେ ଚଢ଼ିବା!"

Mother replied, “You skipped school for this? Wait till your father comes, he will scold you!”

ମା କହିଲେ, "ତମେ ଏହିପାଇଁ ସ୍କୁଲ୍ ଛାଡ଼ିଛ? ତମ ବାପା ଆସନ୍ତୁ, ସେ ତମକୁ ବେଶି ମାଡ଼ିବେ!"

The boys got scared. “Let’s hide before father comes!”

ପିଲାମାନେ ଡରିଗଲେ। "ବାପା ଆସିବାପୂର୍ବରୁ ଆମେ ଲୁଚିଯିବା!"

When father came, mother told him everything. But father got angry and shouted,

“Never stop children from being happy!”

ବାପା ଆସିଲେ, ମା ସେଠି ଘଟିଥିବା ସବୁ କହିଲେ। ବାପା ରୁଷିଗଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ,

"ପିଲାମାନେଙ୍କ ଖୁସିକୁ କେବେ ଅଟକାଇବା ଉଚିତ୍ ନୁହେଁ!"

Then both parents searched for the children and finally found them.

ତାପରେ ବାପା ଓ ମା ମିଶି ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖୋଜିବା ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ମିଳିଗଲେ।

We should never suppress a child’s happiness. Always guide them with love.

ଛୁଆଁମାନଙ୍କ ଖୁସିକୁ କେବେ ବି ଅଟକାଉନାହିଁ। ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ନେହରେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶନା କରିବା ଉଚିତ।
